These are Aaron and my cats. The little one is the mama of the behemoth. They are both rather entertaining as they contain a lot of 'character'. Somedays I wish my day looked like theirs. eat, sleep, sleep some more, yell at the squirrels, eat...repeat...
Today I am five days from departure and I don't think I'm five days from being ready but oh well... I still make time for naps. The peanut requires that I do.
Last night Aaron, peanut and I went to Top of the Park and saw NoMo play. It was a beautiful night and the band is this great local jazz group. We ran into some friends, danced under the open sky and had a great time. I think peanut likes jazz. Ahhh... life is good.

Yay that the 'nut likes jazz- Maya spent her incubation listening to Kinda Blue. E, you will be perfectly ready when you go, no matter how much you get done.
I'm so excited that you and the peanut get to make this journey- what a gift! I want to honor your courage and sense of adventure in stepping up to accept it. I know you will have an amazing time.
Of course, we will miss you terribly back here. Aaron- you can come over for dinner anytime and practice flipping Maya upside down while we all ooh and ahh over E's blog!!
Thanks Maria, I'll definitely take you up on that.
She definitely eats enough for two cats but, no, there is only one in there. What's funny is she is the biggest pussy. Anytime she hear's thunder she runs under the bed or behind the bathroom door.
Thank you so much for posting the picture of your cats. It makes me feel so much better about the size of my cats :)
I hope you have a wonderful time in Tokyo! Don't study too hard, and no matter what Matthew tries to bribe you with, please do not bring him home anymore weapons :p
I promise. No weapons for Matthew.
make sure the peanut listens to lots of music . . . all kinds . . . it really does make a difference, he's listening and will develop a love for music . . . aaron, josh, and whit are good examples
the teacher in me says you can start reading to him now as well ;-)
