I figured you guys had seen a bunch of the peaceful, serene, temple and shrine side of Tokyo but I hadn't really shown you the complete contrast that is this city. This is the Shibuya area of Tokyo. A big shopping area and very popular as a hang out for the young and hip (or the old used to be hip gawkers like me). So if you look at the bottom picture note the sea of humanity at the intersection. When we got out of the subway we were totally overwhelmed and just had to walk with the flow of people because there was NO other choice!! It's just insane!! There are other areas of town like this too. You just can't imagine.
So tonight everyone else is out doing Karioke. I stayed back and did laundry and took care of the peanut. I'm sure they aren't missing my angelic voice. HaHa. Tomorrow is the fourth of July so please would someone light some explosives on my behalf. I hope you all have a good day and Aaron, I want my cobbler when I get back :)

Wow! Incredible shots E. Glad to hear the jet-lag has settled, and it sounds like you're taking care of you and the nut. Good stuff. Maria and I were thinking of you over the weekend, but alas... no internet in northern Michigan to post with.
We will definitely light things on fire for you tomorrow! Something more than just me and my grill and/or stove...
Is that a cooking euphemism I see?
come on baby light my fire...
